🗞️ The Weekly Roundup.

Ukraine dominated discussions this week, with Pres. Trump and Russian Pres. Vladimir Putin discussing an end to the war late last week; this led to European leaders holding their own meeting on Monday, while U.S. and Russian officials met in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Pres. Trump's Ukraine envoy, Gen. Keith Kellogg, on Thursday.

Concerns are rising over the ceasefire between Israel & Hamas after an "an anonymous, unidentified body" was returned by Hamas, according to the IDF. The body was supposed to be that of an Israeli mother taken by Hamas along with her two young sons during the October 7th attack.

🙌🏽 What We Found SmartHER This Week.

Should you strip your clothes? And is it really necessary to separate colors? The Washington Post broke down what you really need to know about doing laundry — and it's super helpful. One thing we didn't know? Hair spray isn't actually the best way to get rid of ink stains. It turns out, the secret is rubbing alcohol. And for those of you who remember Jenna's 2023 slime fiasco, her amazing housekeeper Luvia used rubbing alcohol in her magic stain-removing potion. Watch the Instagram story highlights for her full recipe.

P.S. Stephanie here on the SHN team — I started using Sheets Laundry Club laundry and dryer sheets, and I LOVE them. My laundry smells SO fresh, the sheets help prevent me from adding in too much product and I love that they don't create a mess on my counters like liquid detergents. Plus, it's a small business owned by a husband and wife team — both military veterans.

🗣️ Conversation Starters.

We know that parents aren't supposed to have favorites. But a new study says they might — and it's linked to gender, birth order, temperament and personality.

“Woody.” “Spicy.” “Sweet.” ~ You might think these words are describing a new candle or possibly even a perfume. We bet you'd never guess they're actually the top words to describe the smell of an Egyptian mummy.
