Weather was certainly America's topic of the week, starting with Hurricane Milton. Florida braced itself all week before the storm made landfall on Wednesday night near Sarasota as a Category 3 hurricane. Meanwhile, large wildfires threaten seven states in the West. And North Carolina continues to recover from the effects of Hurricane Helene.
In other news, the latest inflation report is in โ showing that egg prices have increased nearly 40% in the last year. And speaking of eggs, increasing cases of salmonella caused the FDA to expand a recall of eggs in several states.
